A GENTLE CREATURE
Synopsis
A couple spend the last hours at home stoically destroying the belongings of their infant daughter while she sleeps. Earlier that day in a government office, contracts were signed and tax benefits discussed. The final formality of the procedure will take place deep in a forest during the early hours of the morning where -together with a group of government officials- the couple will assist in a harrowingly absurd yet very well-organized ritual, seemingly designed for a greater purpose.

Bio Director
Marc James Roels studied animation at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium. He has directed three live-action short films, which have each garnered several international awards and nominations at film festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival and the Clemont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. Oh Willy…was his first animated short film and was selected at A-list festivals around the world.
