J. KESSELS
Synopsis
Kessels is the incredible story of a bizarre road trip that Frans, a literary pulp writer, has with one of his favorite characters: J. Kessels. They drive Kessels’ old Plymouth Gold Duster from Tilburg to Hamburg, looking for a fraudulent sausages trader. Meanwhile, Frans increasingly dreams about Brigit, the girl from the snack bar when he was younger and on top of that there’s this corpse in the trunk all of a sudden.
Kessels is an adaptation of “J. Kessels: The Novel” of P.F. Thomése.

Bio director
Erik de Bruyn is a Dutch film director and actor. Erik de Bruyn’s first feature Wild Mussels was the opening film at the Dutch Film Festival 2000. Nominated for Best Script and Best Actor, it received the Dutch Film Critics Award of Best Film, the Russian Film Critic Award and the Youth Award for Best Film. He is also known for Nadine and The President. He also directed several short films such as, The Witness, which was nominated Best Short Golden Calf 2006 and winner of the Best Short Film Award of the Italian Republic, IFF Montecatini.
