Synopsis
Mike returns home after time away. He attempts to anchor himself into the social dynamics of family and friends. The mining landscape of Genk offers unusual openings.
Set in the deindustrialised mining city of Genk, the film encounters the masculine dynamics in a working class family. Moving between these social codes, Terril unearths hidden fragilities.

Bio Director
Jorn Plucieniczak, 1995, is a filmmaker and musician based in Brussels. He grew up in the post-industrial mining city, Genk. In his work he searches for sensoric ways of storytelling in which he approaches social and cognitive realms as material to transmute.

He is currently writing his first feature and finishing his new short film Terril, 2022.
