Kristoffer Borgli is a Norwegian filmmaker who has a knack for seeing things differently. He grew up on a steady diet of skateboarding and shooting videos of said sport, before enrolling into film school. From then on, he has made quite a name for himself.

With a strong ability of making recognizable content, he started off with making commercials, but slowly made his way into making narrative shorts and features. He has an art of creating a mockumentary style so believable, that despite the emphasis on the absurd, even The Guardian couldn’t tell the difference: They titled their review of ‘Whateverst’ as a ‘Documentary’: the film was fiction . His latest work includes ‘A Former Cult Member Hears Music For The First Time’, ‘Softcore’ and ‘Eer’ all of which had their premieres on Nowness.

His debut feature film was a docu-fiction “DRIB” (2017) about an energy drink advertising campaign.

His numerous works of short and long format films have played at festivals like Sundance, SXSW and AFI Fest. His commercial reel keeps expanding with high profile brands, clients and agencies. Aside from his impeccable Scandinavian taste and his eye for visual style, what Kristoffer brings to your script is an ability to build and elevate characters. And that’s where he is invaluable. Driven by scripts that are underpinned by clear ideas and strong characters, Kristoffer creates intelligent and emotionally engaging comedy that always forces viewers to question what’s going and what’s coming next.
